Cheese “Trnič”
Cheeses called “Trnič” were made by shepherds mainly in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is a curd dish made from warm sour milk with the addition of cream. It is formed into a lump and dried. Due to its special natural taste, grated thorn is a suitable addition to the flavors of various dishes, even desserts. Fresh cheese “Trnič” has a delicate taste, so it is added to dishes with a less sharp taste, and it becomes sharper and nobler as it matures.
